AMPLIFY LIVE: The Morning Shift Steps Into the Room
KLAT’s The Morning Shift is stepping off the screen and into the room with AMPLIFY Live, an evening of honest conversations, opportunity and connection.
Building on KLAT’s work since 2023, KLAT MAG CIC was established in 2024 to deliver community-focused programmes that create opportunities, visibility and meaningful connections for emerging creatives across Wales and beyond.
Through storytelling, mentorship, internships, live events and creative development programmes, we have supported hundreds of young people working across music, fashion, film, photography, media and entrepreneurship. We have published more than 350 articles, produced over 100 original videos and documented more than 80 creatives through our Get To Know Me series.
Now in its second year, our Arts Council of Wales-funded KLAT DJ Mentorship Programme supports emerging DJs through professional mentoring, practical development and live performance opportunities. The programme has also delivered public showcases and community events, including a DJ Takeover attended by more than 300 people.
Our National Lottery-funded AMPLIFY programme supported six young interns to gain practical experience in research, presenting, production, podcasting and event delivery. It also highlighted women making positive contributions to the Welsh economy across business, music, sport, education and the creative industries.
The inaugural KLAT Awards received more than 700 nominations, recognised 78 finalists and brought together over 200 people for a sold-out celebration of creativity and community. Through interviews, performances, public events and a city-wide billboard campaign, the Awards gave emerging creatives meaningful recognition and visibility.
Our greatest impact can be seen in the people who have grown through KLAT. Contributors have progressed from interns into directors, presenters, filmmakers, designers, journalists and business owners. For many, KLAT provided their first published feature, professional commission, public performance, presenting opportunity or chance to lead a creative project.
With more than one million cumulative digital impressions, KLAT continues to build a trusted platform where emerging talent can be seen, heard, connected and supported.
Community builds culture—and KLAT is building a community where the next generation can thrive.
