Ksenia is not here to play games—unless, of course, it’s by her rules. With her latest single, Main Course, the LA-based singer-songwriter and comedian is serving up a fiery, no-nonsense anthem about self-worth and refusing to settle for anything less than being the main event.
From the very first line, Ksenia makes her message loud and clear, reciting, “Yeah, no cheap motherfuckers / Get the f out of here/I am the bull’s-eye target that you aim for/I am the one you pull out your best game for” If you thought you could slide into her DMs with last-minute plans or half-hearted attempts, think again as she’s not here for “out-of-work DJs” or “Monday night bullshit at the airport Hilton.” If you want her time, you better come correct—with five-star treatment and the energy to match.
Main Course is a high-energy hip-hop track with pop-infused production, combining sharp humour with unapologetic confidence. The hook alone is an instant earworm, rhyming,“I am not your side dish, I am the main course.” It’s the kind of line you scream with your best friends when you’re getting ready for a night out—an instant confidence boost.
What makes Ksenia’s delivery so captivating is her ability to mix sass, humor, and straight-up facts, with lines like, “You wanna date? Better come like Daddy Warbucks. Daddy, give me more bucks. Don’t be taking me to Starbucks,” she raps with a smirk, throwing shade at low-effort lovers. She’s making it clear—she knows her worth, and she expects others to know it too.
But beyond the humour and the infectious beat, Main Course is a record about refusing to settle for being an afterthought, demanding respect, and embracing high standards without apology. And the world is listening. With thousands of spotify listeners and a Times Square billboard already under her belt, the recording academy member is proving herself daily.
So, Ksenia considers her record a warning for out-of-luck men out there: if you’re not ready to bring your A-game, don’t even bother showing up.
