Courtney Scotto Steps Into the Spotlight With Soulful New Single I Like It

Born and raised in Cardiff, Courtney Scotto grew up surrounded by music that spoke straight to the heart. From the haunting melodies of Kate Bush to the harmonies of Destiny’s Child, and the soulful depth of Jasmine Sullivan, Courtney found early on that music was something beautiful and those influences had shaped her voice, her style, and her drive to carve out her own space as an artist.

Before stepping into the spotlight, Courtney’s voice was already making waves as a backing vocalist, lending her talent to some of Wales’s top-tier artists. Her natural ability to connect through song made her a go-to collaborator in the scene. But while the recognition was rewarding, she always knew she wanted something more.

That moment came in the summer of 2024 when Courtney released her debut single Catch It. The track found its way to BBC Radio Wales with Aleighia Scott and soon after to Adam Walton’s BBC Introducing show. Off the back of the buzz, Courtney booked solo performances at Focus Wales, Wrexfest, Porters, and more.

Now, Courtney is back with a brand-new single, I Like It, released on 15th August 2025. Written by Courtney herself and produced by Mkfwitheproducer, the song is a smooth and soulful anthem about knowing your worth and embracing love on your own terms. It carries a confident and flirty energy, reminding listeners that real connection is about consistency, respect, and good energy.

The production is sleek, the vocals are velvet, and the message is clear: Courtney is already working on her debut EP, exclusively produced by Mkfwitheproducer, set to drop in September. To build anticipation, she’ll be sharing more singles in the months leading up to its release, each one offering a glimpse into the artist she’s becoming.
