Rauly’s “Your Love” EP: Love, Growth, and Self-Discovery

When I first hit play on Rauly’s latest EP, Your Love, I was immediately transported to a place of nostalgia. The record had a light, breezy feel that felt instantly familiar, like something straight out of the early ’90s. It was easy to listen to, with a warmth that made me feel like I was in a sun-soaked, carefree moment. The effortless pop energy, featuring smooth, retro vibes with a modern flair, had me humming along after the first few notes.

It’s been a big year for indie-pop artist Rauly, and with the release of his newest project, Your Love, he’s aiming to take his career to the next level. The launch of his lead single, “Your Love,” on October 25th marked another milestone in his journey, following the success of his previous singles “Obvious” and “Pilot.” These tracks are all part of the larger story that led to the development of this EP, which is out today, November 8.

The Your Love EP features a carefully crafted selection of songs that are sure to resonate with fans of indie-pop worldwide. From the upbeat, retro-inspired Turn It On, to the introspective Grow Up, each song feels like a perfect snapshot of where Rauly is in his path—both as an artist and as a person.

Rauly himself describes the project as “a mix of self-discovery, love, and growth.” In a recent interview, he revealed that the record narrates the various stages of love and personal growth. “From longing and regret in ‘Your Love,’ to finding confidence in songs like ‘Grow Up’ and ‘Get Up,’ each track represents a different part of me.” He hopes listeners take away the message that “even in moments of doubt or heartbreak, there’s always room to grow, believe in yourself, and keep going forward.”

One of the standouts on the EP for me is Turn It On, which is my favourite song on the entire project. The lyrics tap into themes of self-confidence and seizing the moment, making it the type of song that makes you want to dance but also displays the kind of self-assurance that comes with understanding who you are and what you want in life. Other tracks like ‘Magic,’ ‘I am Right Here,’ ‘Grow Up’ and ‘Get Up‘ show Rauly’s emotions, with Grow Up narrating his personal growth and Get Up acting as a motivational anthem about embracing the future.

Rauly’s songwriting, influenced by artists like Ed Sheeran, Lil Uzi Vert, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Hall & Oates, is evident in the emotion and vulnerability he brings to each track. In our interview, he explained how these influences have shaped his sound and given him the confidence to combine indie pop, rock, and a touch of 80s nostalgia.

In our conversation about the creation of the EP, the pop singer shared, “Each song represents a flow state I was in, where I let the melody and lyrics pour out of me freely.” He narrated that his music is deeply personal, with each song drawing from his own experiences, especially in his musings on relationships and self-discovery. “Whether they’re about past relationships or moments of self-reflection, these songs represent different parts of my journey.”

Having recently performed the national anthem at a Dodgers game, Rauly is clearly no stranger to big moments. Yet, he remains humble and motivated by his ever-growing fan base. “My fans mean everything to me, They remind me that my story is worth sharing, and I want to create songs that help people feel less alone in their own experiences.”

Looking to the future, Rauly is determined to expand his reach and grow as an artist. “I’d love to keep expanding my sound and sharing it with as many people as possible.” With a headline tour on the horizon, he also dreams of collaborating with Ed Sheeran and performing at Madison Square Garden. His enthusiasm for what lies ahead is contagious, and his message to aspiring artists is simple yet powerful: “Stay true to yourself and your story. If your music comes from a real place, people will feel that.”
