Inside RVNG 2026 Haute Couture Collection at Paris Fashion Week ‘Windows’

RVNG has opened a new window for all the collection with 23 stunning pieces, it gives a fresh new point of view, these designs were made to harmonize with the body.

The Canadian atelier has built a reputation for its almost architectural; approach to design where silhouettes feel constructed rather than simply sewn. For me there is a clear emphasis on shape and structure, with pieces that hold form and presence. At the same time, it is softened by the use of rich ,tactile textures, adding depth and dimension to each look. What ties it all together is a distinctly feminine sensibility; it is not an obvious or overly worked way. Instead I see it as intentional balancing the scale with subtlety.

“Windows,” in this context, feels like a form of translation. From an outsider’s perspective, the designer is opening up a window into the experience of haute couture itself. And it is through this window that the outsider is able to take in the openness of the collection full-length dresses, puffy sleeves, and asymmetrically structured designs that feel intentional rather than excessive.

There’s a notable sense of balance that runs through the collection, even with its more elaborate elements. It carries a kind of quiet confidence. Yes, there is glamour, there is a sense of glitz and drama but it never feels overwhelming or uncontrolled. Instead, everything feels held together, almost regulated.

What stands out is how we’re allowed to preview the structure of each piece, how it is built, how it holds itself yet it never looks stiff. There’s fluidity within the construction, which adds to that tension between strength and softness.

The colouring is another layer entirely. There’s a clear use of hue pinks, blues, shades of yellows, soft lace tones, floral prints, greens and the transitions between shades feel deliberate. Especially in the movement from pink into purple, it’s almost as though there’s a regulator guiding the colour story. Depending on the design, it shifts from light pink to deep purple, or settles somewhere in between with softer lilac tones.

This control of colour softens the collection, giving it a more delicate edge while still maintaining its essence. It doesn’t lose its presence, it just expresses it in a more considered, almost intuitive way.

Since 2014 has embodied the spirit of non-conformity to systems in fashion that priorities speed over substance, as a sign of success is constant output. RVNG moves with a kind of discipline that protects its independence, giving it the space to shape its own process and creative voice. The reference of revenge is definitely still the driving force behind each collection, as we look forward to how many more ways the house will continue to interpret its spirit for its next collection.
