The story began with a very familiar problem: the search for the perfect pair of jeans. On February 22, 2023, two friends became frustrated by the endless hunt for denim that felt right, looked refined and could work with the rest of a wardrobe. Rather than settling, they decided to create their own.

Their first idea was simple but ambitious. They wanted jeans with sophistication and carefully considered details, while still keeping the overall design clean enough to pair with almost anything. After seven months of dedicated work, the first BJeans were born. What began as a small experiment soon became something bigger: a brand built around the belief that the foundation of a wardrobe deserves just as much thought as its statement pieces.
Today, Protémoa creates high-end universal clothing designed to redefine those foundations. Its offerings include knitwear, bottoms, tops, shirts, T-shirts, bags and accessories, alongside a selection of bestsellers that capture the brand’s approach to everyday dressing. Each piece is made to work hard in a wardrobe, offering enough character to stand out while remaining versatile enough to return to again and again.
That balance is what gives Protémoa its appeal. The brand is not chasing loud fashion for the sake of it. The brand’s name also carries a little music history. Protémoa was inspired by the British alternative rock band Placebo and takes its name from a transformed version of “Protège-moi,” a title connected to one of the band’s most sensual creative periods. That influence can be felt in the brand’s wider world: intimate, emotionally aware and slightly mischievous.
Beyond clothing, Protémoa is developing what it calls the Protémoa Universe, a fictional world inhabited by characters who reflect the emotional and psychological realities of modern life. Through these characters, the brand explores friendship, romance, intimacy and the private concerns people often carry quietly.
