If you’re looking for the perfect fusion of music, art, and culture against a breathtaking coastal backdrop, Y Lle Da | The Good Place is about to become your next obsession. Taking place from March 21-23, 2025, in the charming seaside town of Tenby, this brand-new bilingual and multi-arts festival is already making waves with its stellar lineup.
For its inaugural edition, Y Lle Da | The Good Place is bringing some of the finest Welsh talent and international acts to multiple venues across Tenby. Headlining the festival is none other than Gruff Rhys—Super Furry Animals’ frontman—alongside Portishead’s DJ Andy Smith, celebrated singer and harpist Cerys Hafana, and Guinean multi-instrumentalist N’Famady Kouyaté. The lineup continues with incredible artists like Das Koolies, Samana, Rona Mac, Mace The Great, Afro Cluster, Taff Rapids, Kizzy Crawford, HMS Morris, Sage TODZ, Luke RV, Baby Brave, Mellt, and The Family Battenberg. With such a diverse range of musicians, expect everything from folk and spoken word to jazz, grime, and Welsh-language music.
“We aim to create a festival that reflects the heart and soul of Wales,” says co-founder Rhiannon Morgan-Bell. “This is a space where creativity, diversity, and the Welsh language can come together to create something truly special.”
Beyond the music, Y Lle Da | The Good Place is offering an array of immersive experiences. Historic venues like St Mary’s Church, De Valence Pavilion, and The Dogs Home will transform into cultural hubs hosting performances, discussions, and interactive sessions. Festivalgoers can look forward to Lego animation workshops with Yr Egin, a creative writing masterclass with former Children’s Laureate Connor Allen, and thought-provoking panel discussions featuring industry heavyweights like DJ Andy Smith and music executive Nick Halkes.
