There’s something bold about naming your debut album after yourself. It’s not hiding behind a concept or a character, it’s a direct introduction. On January 16, rising pop singer-songwriter Jordi does exactly that with her self-titled debut album, Jordi, and it feels like a genuine “hi, this is me.”
At just 22, Jordi is already a familiar name to millions, and this album is about capturing the emotional chaos, confidence, uncertainty, and small wins that come with growing up in real time.
The 12-track project moves fluidly between high-energy pop anthems and quiet, vulnerable ballads, mirroring the way life rarely sticks to one mood for too long. It features fan favourites like Over Love, Pretty Intentions, Different, Butterflies, and Unlearn You, alongside seven brand-new tracks that feel deeply personal and thoughtfully placed.
“Releasing a self-titled album kind of feels like saying, ‘hi world, it’s me,’” Jordi shares. “It sounds intimidating, but I truly think, I’ve made this project for me, which I find really exciting. Being able to share something I love so much, and to connect with people through that music, feels incredibly special.”” And that honesty is exactly what makes the album land. Nothing feels forced. Nothing feels overproduced for effect. It’s pop music that allows room for feeling.

Born and raised in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Jordi grew up surrounded by creativity. Dance studios, competitions, and stage productions were part of her everyday life, making performance feel natural long before music became the focus. That early exposure shows, not just in her vocals, but in the confidence with which she carries emotion.
She began writing songs in middle school, often alone in her room, using music as a way to make sense of feelings, relationships, and everything in between. That instinct to process life through songwriting still sits at the heart of her work.
Jordi’s rise first caught widespread attention through TikTok and YouTube, where her covers showed a powerful voice, and a presence that felt effortless. That momentum turned into something much bigger with her debut single Hate You in late 2022 — a song that went on to rack up over 22 million streams and hit #1 trending on Snapchat.
What started as a viral moment quickly became a committed fanbase. Today, Jordi reaches nearly 19 million followers across social platforms, has amassed 4.5 billion YouTube views, and surpassed 50 million total streams, impressive numbers, but ones that feel secondary to the connection she’s built with listeners.
With Jordi, she leans into that connection fully. The album balances vulnerability and confidence, heartbreak and playfulness, and allows multiple versions of her to exist at once.
