Balancing Act have discovered their niche which is turning chaos into an art form. Their latest, ‘Loaded with Pearls’, is proof. Manchester-via-London, DIY, a little bit ridiculous but somehow, exactly what the music scene needed right now. With the algorithm curated music out that seemingly feels as though the song was made for virality and click baiting. Then here comes the Balancing Act, with their not so neat, radio-friendly single. It is a stutter-and-strut kind of track, starting off bluesy, desert rock–tinged, before exploding into a chorus that punches like it has somewhere urgent to be. However, it’s just the Balancing Act being Balancing Act: unpredictable, indulgent, slightly dangerous and entirely their own.
Part 2 of Who’ve You Come As isn’t here to tidy up the story from Part 1. No, it’s more like a Jack Russell on a lead restless, impatient, and impossible to ignore. They refuse to be boxed in, jumping across influences, pulling from cinematic grooves, desert rock, and whatever weird corner of the universe they feel like exploring that week. And somehow, it all works.

The best types of artists or the best way to create moving art is by getting life experiences and you can’t talk about this band without talking about how they live their music, which can only be described as a very humble beginning. Touring in a van with holes in the floor, sleeping on wooden planks, washing in rivers between shows they don’t just sing chaos, they inhale it. That unpredictability seeps into the music, and it’s exactly why their live shows are so electric. From London to Paris, their sets are sweaty, messy, and brilliant, a bit like their van, honestly.
‘Loaded With Pearls’ captures all of that. It’s playful, personal, and theatrical but never overthought. You can tell these are people having fun with their craft, even when it’s sharp, messy, and maybe just a little out of control. There is a wink in there, a smirk, a knowingness that they know exactly what they are doing, even when it looks like they don’t.

Splitting the album into two parts? Genius. In a world where songs can vanish the moment they drop, this is a smart strategy. But also, it just makes sense for them. Balancing Act don’t do predictable; they do constant motion. And the moment you think you have caught up; And just like that they have shifted gears again.
By the time the track ends less than three minutes you’re left exhilarated, slightly dizzy, and craving more. And that’s the point. The Balancing Act has made a bold statement which is they are not interested in easy; they want you to feel it, messy and loud and ridiculous, exactly as they do. And honestly? It works.
If Part 1 was the invitation, Part 2 and ‘Loaded with Pearls’ in particular is the rollercoaster you don’t want to get off. Strap in.
